Dr. Sven-Erik Dahlén's research interests span: asthma, especially pathobiology; allergy, especially mediator mechanisms; respiratory and general physiology; pharmacology, especially airways and inflammation; lipid mediators, especially leukotrienes, prostaglandins and lipoxins; severe asthma; aspirin/NSAID intolerant asthma; biomarkers for precision medicine; drug development and experimental models; and human experimental medicine. He is a leading scientist in the area of leukotriene research.
Dr. Dahlén is a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Inhalation Sciences Sweden and holds a research position with the Swedish Medical Research Council. He previously served as: a Member of the Pulmonary Medical Advisory Board of Hydra Biosciences, Inc.; a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Inhalation Sciences Sweden; a Director of Resistentia Pharmaceuticals AB; and a Scientific Advisor of Biolipox AB and of the Swedish Public Health Institute. Dr. Dahlén has written nearly 250 peer-reviewed papers, 40 reviews and 10 books.
